Uccle is a municipality in the south of the Brussels-Capital Region, known for its residential streets and its greenery. The terrain is hilly by Brussels standards, and many of its roads curve along slopes and valleys instead of following a grid. The Royal Observatory of Belgium and the Royal Meteorological Institute share a site in Uccle, which is why Belgian weather records are so often associated with the name.
