Wellesley Map Poster & Print
Wellesley is a town in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, about thirteen miles west of Boston. It is best known for its colleges. Wellesley College sits on a large wooded campus beside Lake Waban, Babson College lies on the town's southern side, and Olin College of Engineering is next door. Each year the Boston Marathon runs through the town centre along Route 135.
On a map, Wellesley is a low-density pattern of winding residential streets with small village centres along the main roads. The campuses form large, green, irregular areas. Lake Waban is the town's defining body of water, an elongated shape surrounded by paths, and the Charles River bends along the western and northern edges. A commuter rail line crosses the town with several stops.
A Wellesley map poster suits alumni as much as residents. The college grounds, the lake and the marathon route make it a map people recognise at once, and the quiet street pattern gives a restful backdrop to the larger landmarks.
