Anliu Map Poster & Print
Anliu is a town in Wuhua County, part of Meizhou in the northeast of Guangdong Province. This is Hakka country, a region of low mountains and narrow valleys, and the map shows it. The town fills the flatter valley floor, while the hills around it stay largely blank, crossed only by winding roads and small streams.
The street pattern is compact and practical, with a main road running through the town and a network of smaller streets and lanes branching out on either side. Beyond the centre, villages and fields follow the valleys. The built-up area thins out quickly as the ground rises into the surrounding hills.
An Anliu map poster is a quiet, understated drawing, defined as much by what is absent as by what is there. The dense centre, the threads of road reaching out through the valleys and the open hill country give it a balanced, almost landscape-like composition that suits the softer Paper and Sand styles.

Hill country
The surrounding hills appear as broad open spaces on the map, crossed by a few winding roads that link the town to villages in neighbouring valleys.
Radiating roads
Roads leave the town along the valleys in several directions. These thin lines give the composition structure and connect it to the wider county.
