Itajaí-Açu meanders
The river crosses the city in wide, lazy loops. The streets of the centre bend with it, so the old core is easy to spot from its curve alone.

Blumenau Map Poster & Print
Blumenau follows the Itajaí-Açu River as it bends through the Santa Catarina hills. From above, the city looks like a set of fingers: the dense centre sits on the riverbanks, and neighbourhoods stretch up side valleys, each with one road along the bottom. The steep, forested ridges between them stay almost blank on the map.
The town was founded in 1850 by German immigrants led by the pharmacist Hermann Blumenau, and that origin still shows in its architecture, its food and its annual Oktoberfest, one of the largest held outside Germany. The river that shaped the plan has also flooded the city several times, and that has influenced where people chose to build.
A Blumenau map poster reduces all of this to line and space. It shows the dark curve of the river, the thin roads threading the valleys, and the pale hillsides that keep the city from ever becoming a simple grid.

Valley neighbourhoods
Residential districts climb narrow side valleys, each following a single road. On paper they read as branching lines spreading away from the river.
Forested ridges
Steep hills covered in Atlantic Forest separate the built-up valleys. They leave broad empty areas that give the composition room and contrast.

ඇයි Blumenau
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
People with family roots in the Itajaí valley, or fond memories of an October visit, hang Blumenau because its shape tells the story on its own: a river, a set of valleys, and a town fitted carefully between them.
You can add a family name, a founding year or the date you arrived as the title, and adjust the subtitle and coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit the room.
