Arterial frame
Candler Road and McAfee Road carry most through traffic. The quieter residential streets hang off them like branches, which gives the map a clear structure.

Candler-McAfee Map Poster & Print
Candler-McAfee is a census-designated place in DeKalb County, Georgia, just east of Atlanta and south of Decatur. It is an unincorporated community, so its boundaries are statistical rather than civic. On a map it still has a clear character: quiet residential streets branching off a few busy arterial roads, with houses set among mature trees.
The name comes from two familiar local roads, Candler Road and McAfee Road, which help frame the community. Between them, the street pattern is typical of mid-century suburban planning. Loops, curves and dead ends take the place of a strict grid, and parks, schools and churches break up the fabric here and there.
Downtown Atlanta is only a short drive to the west, and the interstate network passes close by. A Candler-McAfee map poster shows the neighbourhood at a scale where individual streets become legible. At that scale an ordinary-looking suburb becomes an intricate drawing of loops and branches that anyone who grew up here will recognise at once.

Curving suburban streets
Loops, bends and cul-de-sacs replace the straight grid of older city districts, producing a pattern full of small rounded shapes when printed at poster size.
Tree-lined lots
Generous residential lots and patches of woodland leave space between the streets, so the linework stays open and airy instead of dense.

Many people grow up in suburbs, yet suburbs rarely get the attention a city skyline does. This map gives a home street in DeKalb County its own frame, which makes it a thoughtful gift for a family move or an anniversary.
Put a family name or street in the title, add the year you moved in to the subtitle, and keep the coordinates for precision. Pick from five styles, then download the 300 DPI files for $9 or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
