Broad, sweeping roads laid out ahead of the buildings they serve, forming loops and junctions that read on paper like a technical drawing of a future city.

Ciudad de la Paz Map Poster & Print
Ciudad de la Paz sits deep in the mainland interior of Equatorial Guinea, far from the coast and from the island capital of Malabo. Formerly known as Oyala, it was conceived as a new seat of government and renamed in 2017, when the surrounding area became the province of Djibloho. On a map it reads less like a town that grew over time and more like a drawing: deliberate lines laid onto forest.
The street pattern is what gives it character from above. Wide roads curve and branch with the confidence of a master plan, leaving generous blocks, roundabouts and open parcels between them, many still waiting to be filled. Because construction is ongoing, the drawing feels provisional, a framework more than a finished city, and that sparseness translates cleanly into black line on white paper.
A Ciudad de la Paz map poster captures an unusual moment in a place's life: the plan is visible before the buildings have caught up with it. Framed at a wider scale, the road network sits as a compact geometry surrounded by blank forest. It is an unusual subject for anyone interested in how capitals are designed rather than inherited.

Open plots
Large parcels between the streets remain empty or lightly built, giving the map generous white space and a sense of a city still being filled in.
Forest margins
Beyond the planned core the street lines stop abruptly, and the surrounding equatorial rainforest shows as quiet, unbroken ground around the edges of the composition.

This is a map for people drawn to architecture, planning and places in the making. It suits a studio or an office wall, where the clean road geometry works almost as a diagram, and it makes a considered gift for someone who has worked in or travelled to mainland Equatorial Guinea.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a date that matters to you, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the plan-like character especially well. Download HD files for $9 or order a printed poster.
