Libreville Map Poster & Print
Seen from above, Libreville is a city shaped by water on one side and forest on the other. It stretches along the northern shore of the Gabon Estuary, where the Komo River widens before opening to the Atlantic. The densest streets sit close to the waterline, and the built-up area thins as it climbs inland toward green hills and the edge of the equatorial forest.
The name means free town. The settlement was founded in 1849 by people freed from a slave ship intercepted off the coast, and it grew into the capital of Gabon after independence in 1960. On a map the older core reads as a compact knot of streets near the port, while newer districts spread outward in looser, winding patterns that follow the ground.
A Libreville map poster reduces all of this to line and space: the smooth arc of the shoreline, the long coastal boulevard, the branching roads that feed the neighbourhoods behind it. With colour removed, the balance between the calm estuary and the irregular street fabric becomes the whole composition, and the city's relationship with its waterfront is easy to read at a glance.

Seafront boulevard
A long coastal road follows the water for kilometres, acting as the city's spine and giving the map a strong, continuous line along its western side.
Hills and forest edge
Inland, the street grid loosens into curving lanes that follow slopes and valleys, fading gradually into the green margins that surround the capital.

ඇයි Libreville
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
For people who have lived or worked in Gabon, the outline of Libreville carries the memory of the estuary light and the long drive along the sea. A plain black-and-white print keeps that memory quiet and personal, suited to a study, hallway or office wall.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a date or a neighbourhood name, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital HD file costs $9, or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
