Radiating roads
Several main roads leave the town centre in different directions, linking it to markets and villages across the plain. On paper they read as clear spokes crossing the lighter farmland.

Dīnhāta Map Poster & Print
Dīnhāta is a subdivisional town in Cooch Behar district, in the far north of West Bengal, a short distance from the border with Bangladesh. The land around it is almost completely level. It is part of the wide alluvial plain fed by rivers that come down from the Himalayan foothills further north.
On a map, that flatness shows as long, fairly straight roads running out from the town toward the surrounding villages, with a denser web of lanes at the centre. Small ponds are scattered everywhere, and the fields between settlements split into many small plots. Overall, the town looks spread lightly across a well-watered plain rather than packed tightly around one core.
A Dīnhāta map poster works well for people from the town and the blocks around it, including those who have moved to Kolkata, Siliguri or further away. In monochrome, the roads and ponds become a calm, even pattern that looks more like a textile than a street plan, and the detail holds up at every print size.

Ponds and tanks
Many small ponds dot the town and its outskirts, as they do across the Bengal plains. They give the poster a scattered, rhythmic accent between the streets and fields.
Border country
The Bangladesh border runs close by, and the open country around the town shows how Dīnhāta sits inside a wider, mostly rural landscape of villages and cultivated land.
