Dogomet Map Poster & Print
Dogomet is a sub-prefecture town in Guinea's Faranah Region, in the interior of the country. The landscape is a mix of savanna, woodland and low hills, crossed by streams that drain toward the upper basin of the Niger. On a map, the town appears as a modest cluster of streets and compounds with open country on every side.
Most of what the map shows lies outside the town itself. Dirt roads and footpaths lead away to villages and fields, and small valleys follow the streams through the hills. The resulting drawing is sparse and open, a network of fine lines across a large amount of space, which is typical of rural West Africa.
Places like Dogomet rarely appear on posters, and that is exactly why a map of one can mean so much. A Dogomet map poster makes a personal piece for people from the area who live in Conakry or abroad, and for anyone who has worked or travelled in this part of Guinea.

Roads and paths
Unpaved roads and paths spread out from the town to surrounding villages and farmland. They form a fine web of lines across the open landscape.
Streams and valleys
Small watercourses wind through the low hills around the town. They add soft, natural lines to a map that is otherwise mostly open space.

A map of a home town, however small, keeps a connection alive across distance. Personalise the title with a family name, add a subtitle in French or a local language, or record a meaningful date, and let the coordinates mark the exact spot.
There are five styles to choose from: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. For $9 you can download six print sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files, with no watermark, and print them wherever is most convenient.
