Arterial grid
Broad roads split the town into large, nearly rectangular blocks. From above the pattern is clear and regular, which gives the poster a calm, measured structure.

Dongxia Map Poster & Print
Dongxia lies on the broad agricultural plain of central Shandong, north of the province's inland hills. Seen from above, the land is flat and carefully divided. Rectangular fields meet the edge of the built-up area, and the main roads run almost dead straight towards neighbouring towns.
The settlement follows the pattern of many north Chinese towns that grew in recent decades. Wide arterial roads mark out large blocks, and each block is filled with housing compounds, schools and workplaces. Older lanes survive in places as finer, less regular lines tucked between the newer grid.
A Dongxia map poster suits anyone who likes order and proportion. The composition relies on the rhythm of the blocks and the long lines of the roads rather than on coastlines or mountains. That makes it a restrained, architectural print, and it reads especially well in the Blueprint and Classic styles.

Field edges
Around the town, farmland is divided into long strips and plots. Where the streets stop and the fields begin, the line is sharp and easy to read.
Older lanes
Here and there, narrower and less regular lanes sit between the modern blocks. They are traces of earlier village layouts and add finer detail to the map.
