Historic airfield
The runways and aprons of the air base form the largest single shape on the map, a precise geometric field set against the finer grain of the town's streets.

Dübendorf Map Poster & Print
Dübendorf lies just east of Zurich in the Glattal, the broad valley of the Glatt, which flows through the town on its way to the Rhine. The most striking element on the map is the airfield beside the town, a vast flat expanse of runways and open ground. It is wholly different in scale from the dense residential streets that surround it.
The airfield saw its first flights in 1910 and is regarded as the cradle of Swiss aviation, and the Swiss Air Force Museum stands there. Dübendorf is also a research centre, home to Empa and Eawag, the federal institutes for materials science and for aquatic research. Rail lines and motorways tie the town firmly into the wider Zurich area.
A Dübendorf map poster shows a modern Swiss town in its full context: the winding Glatt, the neighbourhoods on either side, the forested slopes rising toward the Zürichberg to the west and the geometric emptiness of the airfield. The contrast between built and open space gives the design a calm, architectural quality that suits contemporary interiors.

The Glatt river
The Glatt crosses Dübendorf in a gentle line, accompanied by paths and green strips that trace its course north through the valley toward Wallisellen.
Wooded hills to the west
Forest rising toward the Zürichberg frames the western edge of the town, a soft dark mass on the map that separates Dübendorf from the city of Zurich.

අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
People who work at Empa or Eawag, commute into Zurich or have settled in the Glattal often want a map of their own town rather than the city next door. The airfield also makes it a natural choice for anyone interested in aviation history.
Edit the title, subtitle and coordinates, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the runways especially well. The $9 files cover six sizes, and printed posters with optional wooden frames ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
