Farrāshband Map Poster & Print
Farrāshband is a town in Fars province, south of Shiraz, in the folded country of the Zagros mountains. On a map the setting is immediately recognisable: long ridges run in parallel bands, and the town occupies a flat stretch of valley floor between them, surrounded by fields and orchards.
The town itself is compact. A main road carries traffic through the centre, with a mesh of residential streets on either side and farmland pressing in at the edges. Roads leave the valley along the lines of least resistance, following the grain of the mountains rather than cutting across it.
A Farrāshband map poster makes the most of this geography. The ridges add rhythm and depth, the valley gives the eye a calm centre, and the town shows as a small, dense mark within a much larger landscape. The wider area is also known for remains from the Sasanian period, a reminder of how long the region has been settled.

Valley floor town
The built-up area sits on flat ground between the ridges, a compact grid of streets that stops where fields and orchards take over.
Roads with the grain
Routes in and out of Farrāshband follow the direction of the valleys, so the road network lines up with the mountains instead of crossing them.

This is a map for those who know southern Fars: its ridges, its long drives between valley towns, and the feeling of arriving somewhere green after hours of bare slopes. It also makes a striking abstract composition on any wall.
Change the title, add a subtitle such as a year or family name, and keep or edit the coordinates. Blueprint brings out the ridges like a technical drawing, while Sand suits the warm colours of the landscape.
