Frauenfeld Map Poster & Print
Frauenfeld is the capital of the canton of Thurgau in north-eastern Switzerland, set on the small Murg river just before it reaches the Thur. From above, the compact old town sits on a low rise above the Murg, with Schloss Frauenfeld, its medieval castle, marking the corner. Newer districts spread out from there in every direction across gently rolling land.
The rail line and the motorway to Zurich and Lake Constance pass the town as long, straight bands. To the west lies the Grosse Allmend, a large open plain used as a military training ground and, each summer, for Openair Frauenfeld, one of Europe's largest hip-hop festivals. On the map it looks like a striking empty space.
A Frauenfeld map poster combines the fine street pattern of the old centre with river meadows, orchards and open land. The result is typically Swiss: ordered and calm, with clear edges between town, water and field.

The Grosse Allmend
West of the centre, this broad open plain is used for military training and hosts Openair Frauenfeld, leaving a large blank shape on the map.
Murg and Thur
The Murg flows through town toward the Thur, and their river corridors add soft, green lines between the built-up districts.
