Kuoshi'airike Map Poster & Print
Kuoshi'airike lies in the southwestern part of Xinjiang, within the oasis belt that runs along the edge of the Tarim Basin and the Taklamakan Desert. Here, settlement depends on water brought down from the mountains, and the map shows a landscape shaped by irrigation.
Fields are divided into long, narrow plots bordered by canals and roads, often lined with rows of trees. Villages and houses cluster along these waterways, creating a pattern of parallel lines and small concentrations of buildings rather than a single dense urban centre.
A Kuoshi'airike map poster highlights this orderly agricultural geometry. The canals and roads give the composition strong linear structure, while the field patterns add fine texture. It is a map that reflects how oasis communities organise land around scarce water, and a meaningful image for those who know the region.

Tree-lined roads
Roads and field edges are often planted with rows of trees, reinforcing the linear pattern and marking the boundaries between farm plots.
Oasis edge
The cultivated land belongs to the oasis belt around the Tarim Basin, where irrigated fields form a clear contrast with the arid country beyond.
