Linden Map Poster & Print
Linden is the second-largest town in Guyana, located on the Demerara River about 100 kilometres upstream from Georgetown. It grew around bauxite mining and was formed by bringing together several communities, including Mackenzie on the east bank and Wismar on the west bank. On the map, the river runs through the middle and the town gathers along both shores.
The Mackenzie–Wismar Bridge connects the two halves and is the main crossing in the town, a short straight line spanning the river. Around the settlements, large mining areas and pits break into the surrounding forest, visible on a map as open, irregular shapes, while roads curve between neighbourhoods on the higher ground.
A Linden map poster shows a town defined by its river and its industry. Linden is also the starting point of the long road south toward Lethem on the Brazilian border, which gives it an important place in Guyana's transport network. The combination of river, bridge and mining landscape gives the map a distinctive outline.

The single bridge across the Demerara links the two banks and forms the focal crossing point of Linden's road network.
Mining landscape
Open bauxite workings and pits surround the settled areas, creating broad irregular shapes where forest gives way to excavated land.

Linden has a strong identity shaped by mining and by the river, and many Guyanese families abroad have roots there. A map of the town is a thoughtful way to keep that connection on the wall.
