Malahide Map Poster & Print
Malahide sits on the coast of north County Dublin where the Broadmeadow estuary opens to the Irish Sea. On a map, the town fills a peninsula of land between the tidal estuary to the north and the open coast to the east, with the village centre and marina close to the water.
The town is best known for Malahide Castle, home of the Talbot family for around eight centuries, and its large demesne, now a public park with gardens and woodland. The DART and commuter rail line crosses the estuary on a causeway and connects the town directly with Dublin.
A Malahide map poster brings together water on two sides, the broad green shape of the demesne and the compact streets of the village. In black and white, the estuary, the railway causeway and the coastline give the composition a clear, balanced structure.

Malahide Castle demesne
The castle's parkland is a large open space inland from the village, clearly visible among the streets as a broad area of paths and woodland.
Village and marina
The historic village centre sits close to the marina, a small, dense cluster of streets at the water's edge that anchors the whole composition.
