Regular street grid
The centre follows a straightforward orthogonal layout of near-square blocks, typical of towns founded across the São Paulo interior, and it makes for a calm, balanced composition on paper.

Olímpia Map Poster & Print
Olímpia sits on the gently rolling farmland of northwestern São Paulo state, where sugarcane and orange groves stretch in long parcels toward the horizon. From above, the town is a tidy rectangular grid of blocks, with small squares punctuating the centre and newer neighbourhoods spreading outward in lighter, looser patterns where the fields begin.
The town is known across Brazil for two things. Since 1965 it has hosted the Festival Nacional do Folclore, which earned it the informal title of the country's folklore capital. It is also a spa destination, with thermal water pools and water parks fed by warm groundwater. Those parks show on the map as irregular clusters of shapes that break up the regular street pattern.
An Olímpia map poster shows a planned interior town at its most legible: straight streets, even blocks and the gradual change from urban fabric to open countryside. In black and white, the park complexes and the roads leading out to them read almost like a diagram of how the town has grown, first around its old core and then toward leisure and tourism.

Thermal park district
On the outskirts, water parks and resort grounds form larger free-form shapes of pools, paths and landscaping that contrast clearly with the town's regular blocks.
Agricultural edges
Beyond the last streets, rural roads run out in straight lines across the plateau, hinting at the cane and citrus farms that surround the town on every side.

ඇයි Olímpia
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
For people who grew up here or come back every July for the folklore festival, the grid of Olímpia is a familiar thing to have on the wall. The simple layout suits the minimalist style, and a title such as a family name or festival year gives it a personal meaning.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line, then pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
