Puente de Ixtla Map Poster & Print
Puente de Ixtla lies in the south-west of Morelos, in the low, warm country that stretches south from Cuernavaca toward the Guerrero border. Its name joins the Spanish word for bridge with a Nahuatl place name. The crossing it refers to still explains where the town sits: a river runs through the valley, and the route had to cross it.
From above, the centre follows a loose colonial grid of blocks around a plaza and church, bent where the ground and the riverbanks demand it. Newer neighbourhoods spread outward with less regularity. The river cuts a winding line through the settlement, and roads converge on the points where it can be crossed. Fields and dry hills close in around the edges.
A Puente de Ixtla map poster draws out that simple, readable logic: a town organised around water and a crossing. In monochrome, the river becomes the strongest curve on the sheet and the blocks sit in quiet ranks on either side. It is a clear portrait of a place whose identity is written into its name.

Plaza-centred grid
The older core follows the familiar Mexican pattern of rectangular blocks around a central plaza and church, and it loosens as the town grows outward.
Lowland setting
Farmland and low hills frame the town. They are part of the warm southern Morelos lowlands, which lie well below Cuernavaca.
