Rottweil Map Poster & Print
Rottweil sits on high ground above the upper Neckar, and the map makes its medieval planning easy to read. Two main streets cross near the centre, dividing the old town into quarters, and the former line of the walls still shows in the curve of the streets around the edge. Below, the river runs through a deep, winding valley.
The town traces its origins to the Roman settlement of Arae Flaviae and is usually described as the oldest town in Baden-Württemberg. It also gave its name to the Rottweiler dog breed. More recently, the tall elevator test tower on the edge of town has become a landmark visible across the surrounding countryside.
A Rottweil map poster brings these layers together. The compact cross-shaped old town sits on its spur, the Neckar curves below, and newer districts spread across the plateau. It is a striking plan for a small town, clear enough to recognise at a glance.

Neckar valley
The river winds below the old town through a steep valley. Its curve sets off the compact historic core above and gives the composition depth.
Walled outline
The streets around the old centre follow the line of the former fortifications. This gives the historic core a distinct rounded edge on the map.

ඇයි Rottweil
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Rottweil suits anyone who knows its Fasnet processions, walked the old town's main streets, or owns the dog that carries the town's name. The medieval plan is graphic enough to work as a design piece in its own right.
You can set the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line yourself, perhaps to mark a Roman-era enthusiasm or a family move. Choose from five styles. Classic black & white suits the historic cross-shaped plan especially well.
