Valley corridors
The urban area runs in long, narrow strips along river valleys. The street network forms branching lines rather than blocks, with ridges of undeveloped hillside between them.

Shiyan Map Poster & Print
Shiyan does not look like most Chinese cities from above. There is no broad grid laid over a plain. The city follows the valleys of the Qinba mountain country, so the built-up area stretches in long, thin fingers wherever the ground is flat enough to build on. Roads bend with the streams, and green ridges press in on both sides of almost every neighbourhood.
The city's modern growth is tied to the car industry. From the late 1960s it was home to the Second Automobile Works, the company later known as Dongfeng, and factories and worker housing spread along the valleys to serve it. Many districts still follow the pattern of that period, with plants, depots and residential blocks alternating along the main roads.
Beyond the urban core, the municipality reaches the Wudang Mountains, whose Taoist temple complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It also takes in the Danjiangkou Reservoir on the Han River, the source of the middle route of China's South–North Water Transfer Project. A Shiyan map poster focuses on the city itself, a rare case of dense streets laid out entirely by the terrain.

Automotive districts
Large factory sites from the Dongfeng era appear as broad, simple shapes among finer residential streets, a reminder of the industry the modern city was built around.
Hills on every side
Empty green slopes surround almost every district. On the poster they become generous open space, which makes the thin threads of road and settlement stand out sharply.

ඇයි Shiyan
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Shiyan is hung by people with ties to its factories and valleys: engineers, families who arrived with the car plants, and people who grew up with the mountains always in view. Its branching outline makes an unusual, almost botanical composition on a wall.
Add your own title and a subtitle, such as a neighbourhood or a year, and keep or edit the coordinates line. The five styles run from Classic black & white to the warm tones of Sand. Files come as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF.
