Sosnovoborsk Map Poster & Print
Sosnovoborsk stands on the right bank of the Yenisei, a short distance from Krasnoyarsk in central Siberia. It was founded in 1971 as a settlement for workers at a new truck trailer plant and received city status in 1985. Its name comes from the pine forest, the sosnovy bor, that surrounds it, and on a map the town looks like a clearing cut into the woods.
The layout is typical of late Soviet planning: large residential microdistricts of apartment blocks set around courtyards, wide main avenues and a separate industrial zone. The streets are broad and orderly, but the blocks are placed as free-standing shapes rather than lined up along traditional streets, which gives the plan a distinctive, modular look.
A Sosnovoborsk map poster shows a town designed from scratch in a single era, framed by the forest and the great river nearby. The contrast between the geometric microdistricts and the dense surrounding woodland makes it a clean, graphic image, especially in the stricter styles.

Pine forest ring
Woodland presses in on almost every side of the town, so the built-up area appears as a well-defined island on the map, surrounded by open space.
Yenisei nearby
The broad Yenisei flows past the town on its way through the Krasnoyarsk region, and a wider frame brings in its wide channel and islands.

අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Sosnovoborsk is young enough that many residents remember it being built, and some helped build it. A poster with a custom title, the year a family arrived or the coordinates of a first apartment makes that history personal.
Blueprint suits the planned geometry of the town, and Classic black and white, Noir, Paper and Sand offer other moods. The $9 download includes six print sizes from 30×40 cm to 24×36 inches, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a PDF.
