Valley-bound streets
The urban fabric follows the valley floors, so the city forms long, branching corridors instead of a compact centre, with hillsides pressing in on both sides.

Teresópolis Map Poster & Print
Teresópolis sits high in the mountains of Rio de Janeiro state, and from above the terrain makes the plan. There is no broad grid here. The city spreads along valley floors and up the slopes in long, winding threads, with neighbourhoods tucked into folds of the land. Wooded hillsides show up as open space, so the streets look like channels running between steep, empty ground.
The town takes its name from Empress Teresa Cristina, and the landscape around it has long drawn visitors from the coast who want cooler mountain air. The Serra dos Órgãos National Park lies next to the city. Its granite spires include the Dedo de Deus, the finger-shaped peak that has become a regional symbol. On a map, the park shows as a large blank area at the edge of the dense street network.
A Teresópolis map poster shows a city shaped by altitude more than by planning. Roads climb in switchbacks, and main routes follow the valleys. Residential streets split into short cul-de-sacs wherever the slope allows. In black and white the effect is organic, almost like a leaf's veins. It suits anyone who knows the drive up the serra, or the mornings when mist sits in the valleys.

National park edge
The Serra dos Órgãos National Park borders the city. On the poster it becomes a wide open field where the dense lines of streets suddenly stop.
Switchback roads
Roads climbing the slopes fold back on themselves in tight curves, adding sharp zigzags that stand out against the gentler lines of the valley streets.

අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
For people who grew up here, or who escaped the summer heat of Rio by coming up the mountain, this map has a familiar pattern of streets. It is a quiet reminder of cool evenings, green slopes and the peaks on the horizon.
You can add your own title, a subtitle such as a neighbourhood or a year, and a coordinates line. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Each gives the winding valleys a different mood.
