Wanaraja Map Poster & Print
Wanaraja lies in Garut Regency in West Java, Indonesia, in the upland basin ringed by volcanoes that gives the Garut area its cool climate and fertile soil. Its map is less a single town than a chain of villages and neighbourhoods strung along roads, with rice fields and gardens filling the spaces in between.
The terrain shapes everything. Roads bend around slopes and cross small rivers, and settlements gather where the land flattens enough to build. On a black-and-white map the paddies appear as open ground, while the lines of houses along the roads create threads of density that trace the contours of the landscape.
A Wanaraja map poster captures the Sundanese countryside from above: irregular and green in reality, quietly patterned on paper. It suits people from Garut who want a keepsake of their village, or visitors who remember the landscape of the Priangan highlands and want something more personal than a photograph.

Rice fields
Open ground between the settlements marks the paddies and gardens, leaving calm white space that balances the denser strips of housing.
Upland streams
Small rivers and streams cross the area from the surrounding slopes, their winding lines adding a natural counterpoint to the roads.
