Valley corridor
The city stretches along the valley floor from west to east, so its outline on the poster is long and narrow, with the main road running through it like a spine.

Guarenas Map Poster & Print
Guarenas lies in a narrow valley in Miranda state, just east of Caracas beyond the coastal mountain range. On the map the city takes the shape of a long corridor: a main highway and parallel avenues run along the valley floor, while residential districts spread up the hillsides wherever the terrain allows. Toward the east, Guarenas merges almost seamlessly with its neighbour Guatire.
The street pattern is a mix of eras. A small historic centre around the main square keeps a traditional grid, while large planned housing estates from the twentieth century appear as clusters of repeated blocks. On the steeper slopes, informal neighbourhoods create a denser, more irregular texture, and the surrounding hills stay mostly green, giving the poster clear natural boundaries.
Guarenas grew quickly as a commuter city for Caracas, and it is remembered in Venezuelan history as the place where the 1989 protests known as the Caracazo began. A Guarenas map poster shows the city in a quieter light, as a set of streets shaped by a valley and by the mountains that enclose it on both sides.

Planned housing estates
Large residential developments built in the second half of the twentieth century show up as groups of repeated shapes, a distinctive pattern that sets parts of Guarenas apart from older towns.
Mountain edges
Steep green slopes close in on both sides of the valley, so the dense street network ends abruptly against open terrain, giving the whole map a strong natural frame.

Prečo Guarenas
Mapa, ktorá niečo znamená
Many families in Greater Caracas have ties to Guarenas, whether they grew up there, commuted from there or still visit relatives. A map of its valley is a personal way to keep that place in view, especially for those now living far from Venezuela.
You can write your own title and subtitle, perhaps a family name or the year you moved, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from five styles, including Noir and Blueprint, then download print-ready files for $9 or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
