Al Farwānīyah Map Poster & Print
Al Farwānīyah lies south-west of Kuwait City, a short distance from Kuwait International Airport. Like much of the country, it is a planned city laid out on flat desert, and on a map the plan is very clear. Large ring roads and motorways divide the land into sections, and each section is filled with numbered residential blocks.
Inside each block, the streets form their own small grid, with lanes, cul-de-sacs, schools, mosques and cooperative societies at the centre. The major highways between districts are wide and have big interchanges, creating a strong framework of long lines and loops across the whole composition.
It is one of the most densely populated areas of Kuwait, home to a large community of expatriate workers and families from across Asia and the Arab world. An Al Farwānīyah map poster shows the planned logic of the modern Gulf city, with its block system, ring roads and highways all drawn with precise geometry.

Numbered blocks
The residential area is divided into self-contained blocks, each with its own street pattern. Together they form a patchwork of small grids.
Airport edge
The airport lies to the south, with its runways and aprons. The flat, open airfield contrasts with the dense housing blocks.
