The Pantepec river
The river bends along the town and forms its clearest natural boundary. It is the most fluid line on the map, set against the grid.

Álamo Map Poster & Print
Álamo is the main town of the municipality of Álamo Temapache in northern Veracruz, in the Huasteca lowlands. On a map, the river Pantepec curves past the urban area and gives the town a natural edge. The streets form a fairly regular grid near the centre and become looser toward the outskirts, where they meet farmland.
The area is widely known as one of Mexico's main orange-growing districts, and Álamo is often described as a centre of the country's citrus industry. Around the town, orchards and plantations cover much of the land. On a wider map, this appears as open space crossed by rural roads toward neighbouring communities.
An Álamo map poster highlights the relationship between river, town and farmland. The Pantepec's curves soften the layout, the town's grid sits in the middle, and the orchard country fills the margins. It makes a warm, personal print for families from the Huasteca, especially in the Sand or Paper style.

Town centre grid
The older part of Álamo is laid out in regular blocks, giving the centre of the print a dense and orderly texture.
Citrus country
Beyond the streets, the land is given over largely to orange groves and farms, appearing on the map as wide open ground crossed by rural roads.
