Multiple centres
Egbeda, Ikotun, Igando and other districts each form their own local cluster, so the map has several centres rather than one.

Alimosho Map Poster & Print
Alimosho covers a large part of mainland Lagos, from the area around the airport westward toward the border with Ogun State. On the map, it is a broad field of streets with no single centre. Several main roads run through it, linking districts such as Egbeda, Idimu, Ikotun and Igando, each with its own markets and cluster of lanes.
It is often described as the most populous local government area in Lagos State, and the map makes that believable. Almost every piece of land is taken up by homes, churches, mosques, schools and shops, with the street pattern growing denser near main junctions. The small pockets of open land that remain mostly follow drainage channels and low ground.
An Alimosho map poster shows the full extent of this area. The key roads form the frame, and between them thousands of short streets fill the space with texture. It is a map that rewards close reading, where people can locate their own district and follow the route they take through it every day.

Arterial roads
Long main roads cross the area and connect it to the rest of Lagos, providing the strong lines that hold the dense map together.
Drainage corridors
Streams and low-lying channels wind through the built-up area, leaving narrow gaps that interrupt the pattern of streets.

Zakaj Alimosho
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Alimosho is home to a huge number of Lagos families, and many people who have moved abroad trace their roots back to one of its districts. A map with a personalised title, such as a family name or a district and year, makes that connection visible.
Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Classic black & white shows the dense street network most clearly. Buy the $9 HD files to print at any of six sizes, or order a framed matte poster shipped from a nearby partner.
