Market town core
Short, irregular streets gather around the market and the old town centre. It is the densest part of the map and the historic heart of Altrincham.

Altrincham Map Poster & Print
Altrincham sits in the borough of Trafford, southwest of Manchester, and its map is a clear example of a market town absorbed into a city region without losing its own centre. The old core clusters around the market and the station, and Victorian and Edwardian residential streets spread outward in curving terraces and leafy avenues.
The town received a market charter in 1290, and its covered market has since been reborn as a well-known food hall. The railway and the Metrolink tram, which ends here, run through the middle of town. To the west, the large estate of Dunham Massey adds a wide area of open parkland to the frame.
An Altrincham map poster brings out those layers. The dense old centre, the rail line cutting north–south, the orderly suburban streets and the open estate land on the western edge together make a composition that is detailed without being busy.

Rail and tram line
The railway and the Metrolink, which terminates in the town, run through the centre. The line gives the map a clear north–south axis.
Dunham Massey edge
West of town, the deer park and estate of Dunham Massey create a large open area. Its tree-lined paths contrast with the suburban streets.

Zakaj Altrincham
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Altrincham is a place people settle into: a first family home, Saturday mornings at the market, walks through Dunham. A map of the town turns those familiar streets into something to keep on the wall, especially after a move.
Add a title, subtitle and coordinates line of your choosing, whether that is a family name, a moving-in date or simply Altrincham. Choose one of five styles, from Classic black & white to Sand. Digital files are $9, and matte prints ship from UK-based and international partners.
