Canal network
Long, straight canals and natural creeks cross the area in several directions, forming the strongest lines on the print and dividing the land into large, irregular blocks.

An Trạch Map Poster & Print
An Trạch lies in the far south of Vietnam, in Cà Mau province, where the Mekong Delta flattens out toward the sea. The land here is low and almost level, and water shapes almost everything visible from above. Canals, creeks and drainage channels cross the landscape in long lines, and homes and roads tend to follow them rather than forming a compact centre.
This gives the place a distinctly linear character on the map. Settlement stretches along the banks of waterways and the roads that run beside them, with ponds and cultivated plots filling the spaces in between. Across much of this coastal part of the delta, aquaculture ponds and rice fields make a pattern of rectangles bounded by embankments and water.
An An Trạch map poster turns that lowland geometry into a clean drawing. Straight canals meet at angles, smaller channels branch off them, and the lines of houses along the water become the main structure of the composition. It is a map of a place organised by water, rendered in simple, even strokes.

Linear settlement
Houses and lanes line the waterways and roads instead of clustering around a single square, so the built area appears on the map as narrow ribbons following the water.
Ponds and fields
Between the canals, the land is divided into ponds and plots separated by low banks, a rectangular pattern characteristic of this low-lying corner of the Mekong Delta.
