Ānwén Map Poster & Print
Ānwén is the seat of Pan'an County in central Zhejiang, deep in a mountainous part of the province. The terrain here leaves little flat ground, so the town has grown along a river valley, and its shape on the map is long and constrained, with slopes rising close on both sides.
Within the valley, streets run parallel to the river and are joined by bridges and short cross streets. Where the valley widens, the grid becomes denser and more regular, and newer districts occupy whatever level land is available. Beyond the edges, roads follow side valleys into the hills, which are largely covered in forest and farmland.
An Ānwén map poster shows a town shaped by its mountains. In black and white, the band of streets confined to the valley floor stands out sharply against the empty slopes around it. It is a fitting piece for people from Pan'an County and for anyone who likes places where geography sets the plan.

River and bridges
A river runs through the town, and several bridges cross it. They link the two banks and give the map a clear central axis.
Side-valley roads
Roads leave the centre along smaller valleys into the surrounding hills, winding lines that extend the town's shape like branches from a trunk.
