Araçoiaba da Serra Map Poster & Print
Araçoiaba da Serra sits in the interior of São Paulo state, a short distance west of Sorocaba. On a map, its compact centre breaks into streets that follow the lie of the land, while outlying neighbourhoods and country properties scatter along rural roads. The pattern is loose and green, with chácaras and small lots giving way to open fields and patches of woodland.
The word serra in the name refers to the Araçoiaba hill, a forested rise that stands out against the surrounding farmland and is closely tied to the region's past. Iron ore from its slopes drew some of Brazil's earliest attempts at ironmaking in colonial times, and much of the hill is now protected as part of the Ipanema National Forest.
An Araçoiaba da Serra map poster works well for people with family roots in the Sorocaba region or a weekend home among its hills. The drawing is sparse compared with a city, and that is its strength: a handful of central streets, winding rural lines and the shape of the landscape set down in clean ink.

Compact town centre
A small grid of streets around the main square forms the densest part of the drawing, with roads radiating out toward neighbouring towns and the countryside.
Rural road network
Beyond the centre, country roads trace long, irregular lines between farms and weekend properties, giving the poster a loose, almost hand-drawn quality.
