Sorocaba River
The river winds through the town and connects it with neighbouring Sorocaba. Its curves give the map a flowing natural line among the streets.

Votorantim Map Poster & Print
Votorantim lies in the interior of São Paulo state, directly beside Sorocaba. On the map the two built-up areas almost merge. The Sorocaba River passes through the town, and its valley and the surrounding hills determine where the streets run and where the open land remains.
The town grew around a textile factory founded in the late nineteenth century. That factory was the origin of the Votorantim group, one of Brazil's largest industrial conglomerates. Industrial sites still occupy recognisable parts of the town, and on the map they appear as large, simple shapes.
A Votorantim map poster shows a place between city and countryside. Residential neighbourhoods with curving streets follow the slopes, while green areas and water to the south hint at the wider landscape of hills and reservoirs beyond the town.

Industrial heritage
Old factory grounds and industrial sites form large, geometric blocks. They reflect the town's origins as a manufacturing centre and stand out clearly on the poster.
Hillside neighbourhoods
Residential streets follow the contours of the hills and create curved, irregular patterns. They contrast with the straighter roads leading toward Sorocaba.
