Ariquemes Map Poster & Print
Ariquemes is one of the main towns of Rondônia, in Brazil's western Amazon, on the BR-364 highway between Porto Velho and the south of the state. It grew rapidly during the farm settlement drive of the 1970s, and its layout shows that planning. Broad avenues, numbered sectors and regular blocks are set out across open ground.
The highway runs past the town as its main axis, and the residential districts sit on either side in orderly grids. Beyond them the map changes. Straight rural roads mark out rectangular farm lots, a pattern familiar from settlement projects across the region. Streams and remaining forest add softer, branching shapes between the straight lines.
An Ariquemes map poster brings out the clarity of this design. The grid is strong and easy to read, and the highway gives it direction. The rural lines at the edges show how far the town's reach extends into the countryside. It is a map of deliberate order laid over an Amazonian landscape, drawn in simple black and white.

Sectored grid
Residential areas are organised into distinct sectors of regular blocks and wide avenues. This gives the map a crisp, almost diagrammatic look compared with older Brazilian towns.
Rural lot lines
Outside the town, straight side roads divide the land into long rectangular plots. This settlement pattern turns the edges of the poster into a quiet field of parallel lines.

Zakaj Ariquemes
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Many families in Ariquemes arrived from other states within living memory, so the town's map carries personal history: the sector where they first settled and the road they came in on. A clean print records that story without needing any words.
You can still add words if you like: a custom title, a subtitle with a date or name, and the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Then download HD files for $9, or order a printed poster with or without a frame.
