The racecourse oval
The track is the most recognisable shape on the map, a long sweeping loop with stands on one side. Few towns of this size are organised around a single sporting landmark.

Ascot Map Poster & Print
Seen from above, Ascot is shaped by one large feature: the racecourse, a long curved track that lies across the northern edge of the town. The High Street runs close to its southern flank, and the rest of the settlement spreads out in loose clusters rather than a tight grid. Large plots, curving private roads and wide gaps between houses give the map an open, spacious texture.
The racecourse was founded in 1711 by Queen Anne, and Royal Ascot, held each June, remains one of the best-known meetings on the British racing calendar. Around the town, the map is broken up by heath and pine woodland. Swinley Forest lies to the south-west, and the edge of Windsor Great Park stretches off towards the north-east.
An Ascot map poster works because of this balance between line and space. The oval of the track gives the composition a clear centre, while the lanes that wind through the woods give it fine detail. In black and white, the difference between the built-up areas and the green belt around them shows up clearly, and the whole sheet feels calm and uncluttered.

Heath and pine
Much of the land around the town is heath and woodland rather than streets. On the poster these areas read as calm open space between scattered lanes and cul-de-sacs.
Towards Windsor
To the north-east, the roads thin out towards Windsor Great Park. The settled area gives way to long straight drives and wide open parkland.

Zakaj Ascot
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Ascot means something specific to many people: a day at the races, a family home near the woods, or a place tied to a summer tradition. A map of the town keeps that memory in a quiet form that does not depend on a photograph.
You can set the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a race date or a house move, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It comes as a $9 HD download or as a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
