Banting Map Poster & Print
Banting is the main town of the Kuala Langat district in Selangor, on the flat coastal plain southwest of Kuala Lumpur. Its centre is compact, a small grid of shophouse streets, while newer housing estates spread out around it in curving loops and cul-de-sacs. Beyond those estates the map fills with the long, straight lines of plantation roads and drainage channels.
The Langat River winds past the town on its way to the sea, one of the few curves in an otherwise ruled landscape. To the west, the coast of the Strait of Malacca is only a short drive away, with the beach at Morib the best-known stretch nearby. On a wider framing, the shoreline adds a clean edge to the composition.
The area around Banting has long been shaped by oil palm and other plantations, which explains the regular pattern of roads and channels in the surrounding land. Nearby Jugra, a small hill by the river, is associated with the history of the Selangor sultanate. A Banting map poster gathers the town, river and plantation geometry into one quiet image.

Plantation grid
Around town, plantation roads and drainage lines run in long parallel strokes, producing a striking, almost textile-like pattern across the outer parts of the map.
Shophouse centre
The old town centre is a tight cluster of short streets, the densest part of Banting and the point from which roads head out to Klang, the coast and Kuala Lumpur.
