Courthouse downtown
The oldest part of the city forms a small, orderly cluster of blocks around the county courthouse, the densest patch of lines on the map and a natural focal point near the centre.

Zemljevid
Beckley Map Poster & Print
From above, Beckley reads as a small downtown grid set on high, rolling ground, surrounded by residential streets that bend to follow the land rather than a strict plan. Roads leave the centre in several directions, thinning into winding lanes and wooded hollows. The result is a map with a clear, dense core and a soft, irregular outer edge that fades into forest.
Beckley is the seat of Raleigh County in southern West Virginia. It was laid out by Alfred Beckley and named after his father, John James Beckley, the first Librarian of Congress. For much of its history the town served the surrounding coal fields, and the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine still lets visitors ride into a former seam beneath the city's parkland.
A Beckley map poster captures a mountain town drawn in quiet line work: the tight blocks around the courthouse, the looser loops of later neighbourhoods, and the long sweep of the interstate that links the city to the rest of the state. Rendered in black and white, the plateau's shape and the way the streets adapt to it become the whole composition, without colour or terrain shading to distract.

Turnpike and interstates
The West Virginia Turnpike, carrying both I-64 and I-77, runs along the eastern side of the city in long, smooth curves that contrast with the short, angled streets of town.
Plateau and hollows
Beyond the built-up area, roads narrow and twist as they follow ridgelines and descend into valleys, leaving wide blank spaces of forest that frame the city on every side.

Zakaj Beckley
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Beckley tends to mean something specific to the people who hang it: a hometown in the coal fields, a family history tied to the mines, or a base for trips into the New River Gorge. The map gives that connection a clean, understated form that suits a hallway, study or living room.
You can add your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, such as a family name or a date that matters, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. It comes as a $9 set of digital HD files or as a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
