Berdsk Map Poster & Print
Berdsk lies in Novosibirsk Oblast, on the eastern shore of the Novosibirsk Reservoir, known locally as the Ob Sea. The Berd River flows into the reservoir here in a wide bay. From above, the reservoir takes up much of the map, a broad sheet of water, with the town's streets and blocks along the shore and pine forest around them.
The town's history is marked by the water. Berdsk dates back to an eighteenth-century fort. When the reservoir was filled in the 1950s, the old town was flooded, and Berdsk was rebuilt on higher ground. That is why the present layout looks mostly modern, with straight streets and regular residential districts rather than an old centre.
A Berdsk map poster shows the reservoir shoreline, the Berd inlet and the town grid in one frame. The shore is lined with beaches, holiday areas and forest, and it looks soft and irregular next to the ordered streets. For people from Berdsk or Novosibirsk, the shape of the Ob Sea is instantly familiar.

Berd River bay
The Berd River widens into a bay where it joins the reservoir. Its outline adds a second curving shore to the composition.
Rebuilt grid
The town was rebuilt after the reservoir was filled, and the streets follow a regular modern plan. They form a clear, even pattern near the water.
