Borehamwood Map Poster & Print
Borehamwood lies just beyond London's northern edge, and its map shows a town of mostly twentieth-century streets. Shenley Road forms the main spine, with shops and the studios near it, and estates of curved roads and closes spread on either side. The railway to London cuts along the eastern side, and fields and green belt surround the town.
Borehamwood is best known for film and television. Elstree Studios and the BBC studios here have been used for many famous productions, which is why the town is sometimes called the British Hollywood. Many residents also commute into London by rail, which gives the station a central role in daily life.
A Borehamwood map poster captures the town's compact shape: the high street running through the middle, rail line along one side and residential streets filling in around them. Open land on the edges frames the town neatly on the sheet, which suits a clean and readable composition.

Studio grounds
The film and television studios occupy large sites close to the centre, visible as broad blocks among smaller residential streets.
Green belt edge
Fields, woods and reservoirs surround the town, so on the map Borehamwood appears as a distinct island of streets within open countryside.
