Borgerhout Map Poster & Print
Borgerhout is a district of Antwerp lying immediately east of the historic centre, and it was a separate municipality until the merger of 1983. On the map it is one of the most tightly packed parts of the city, a fine mesh of terraced streets with very little open ground between them. Long main roads cut through this mesh towards the east.
Two strong lines define the district's shape. The railway approach to Antwerpen-Centraal runs along its western side, and the Antwerp ring road, the R1, slices through the district, separating inner Borgerhout from the parts beyond it. These heavy infrastructure lines contrast sharply with the small scale of the surrounding streets, a pattern that shows clearly in monochrome.
A Borgerhout map poster suits people who know the district from daily life rather than from guidebooks: its long shopping street, Turnhoutsebaan, and its mixed, international population. From above, the dense street pattern, broken only by a few squares and small parks, makes a detailed and graphic composition that rewards a closer look.

Turnhoutsebaan
This long main street runs east from the city centre through the district, a clear straight axis through the finer pattern of residential streets.
Terraced streets
Row upon row of narrow streets fill the district, creating the fine, even texture that makes Borgerhout one of the densest-looking parts of Antwerp on paper.

Zakaj Borgerhout
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Borgerhout is the kind of neighbourhood people identify with closely, so a map of it often means more than one of Antwerp as a whole. Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a street name or the year you first moved in.
The five styles, Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, all handle dense street patterns well, and Noir makes them especially striking. HD files are $9, or order a printed matte poster with an optional wooden frame from a print partner.
