Historic core
The oldest streets gather around the main church and square. Their irregular, slightly curving lines stand out from the more regular blocks built around them later.

Brugherio Map Poster & Print
Brugherio lies in the flat country north-east of Milan, between the city and Monza. From above, it is hard to say where the neighbouring towns end and Brugherio begins. Streets continue across municipal boundaries, and the whole area forms one continuous built-up surface. Only a few patches of farmland and parkland to the east remain open.
Inside the town, the pattern is typical of the Lombard plain. There is an older core of irregular streets around the church, and around it are later neighbourhoods of apartment blocks and small industrial lots set out on straighter lines. Major roads serving the Milan area pass close by, and their wide curves and junctions show up clearly against the fine local grid.
A Brugherio map poster captures a kind of place that is common in northern Italy but rarely shown as a subject in its own right: a real town with its own centre and identity, held inside a larger metropolitan fabric. In black and white, the density becomes a texture of its own.

Metropolitan roads
Large roads of the Milan area pass near the town. Their sweeping curves and interchanges add bold geometry at the edges of the composition.
Remaining green
Open fields and parkland toward the east break up the built fabric. They give the poster breathing space and show how the plain looked before the suburbs arrived.
