Brushy Creek corridor
The creek winds through the community in a band of parkland. It divides the neighbourhoods and gives the map a natural, flowing line through the middle.

Brushy Creek Map Poster & Print
Brushy Creek is a community in Williamson County, Texas, in the fast-growing area north of Austin, next to Round Rock and Cedar Park. It is named after the creek that runs through it. From above, it looks very different from an old town: streets curve, loop and end in cul-de-sacs, and neighbourhoods are organised around a few main roads.
The creek itself runs through the area in a winding green corridor. Much of it is lined by the Brushy Creek Regional Trail, which is popular for walking, running and cycling and connects parks and a small lake along the way. This green strip divides the street pattern into separate groups of neighbourhoods.
A Brushy Creek map poster looks almost decorative, because the suburban street plan produces so many curves and loops. The creek and its parkland form a clear line through the middle, and the arterial roads provide a straight frame. It is a map that captures everyday American suburban life in an unexpectedly graphic way.

Regional trail
A long trail follows the creek and connects parks and green spaces. On the poster, it traces a path between houses and roads along the water.
Cul-de-sac layout
Neighbourhood streets curve and end in rounded cul-de-sacs, forming an almost ornamental pattern. It contrasts with the straight arterial roads around it.
