Near-total coverage
Buildings fill almost the entire territory, so the poster reads as a dense texture of blocks with only thin channels of street between them.

Casavatore Map Poster & Print
Casavatore lies just north of Naples in Campania, and on a map it is hard to tell where the city ends and the comune begins. The territory is very small, only about one and a half square kilometres, and nearly all of it is built up. Streets, apartment blocks and courtyards run edge to edge, joining seamlessly with the neighbouring towns of the Neapolitan hinterland.
Density is the defining fact. Casavatore is often cited as the most densely populated comune in Italy, with nearly nineteen thousand residents in that small area. The map therefore has very little empty space. What gaps there are come from main roads, small squares and occasional courtyards, which appear as pale openings in an otherwise continuous fabric.
The street layout mixes older lanes from its agricultural past with later blocks built as Naples expanded outward in the twentieth century. A Casavatore map poster turns this compressed urban landscape into a striking pattern, one that works both as a graphic image and as a record of a very particular place.
