Chentuan Map Poster & Print
Chentuan is a town in the south-east of Shandong province, inland from the Yellow Sea coast. Like many rural towns in eastern China, it acts as a centre for the surrounding villages, with a market street, local services and roads connecting the smaller settlements scattered across the countryside.
On the map, the town is a compact cluster of streets, and around it lies a large rural area. Villages appear as small, dense blocks separated by fields. The fields themselves often form regular strips and rectangles, and small reservoirs, streams and low hills interrupt this pattern in places.
A Chentuan map poster shows a landscape more than a city: a network of villages, roads and fields where the town is simply the largest node. In black and white the repeating village blocks and field lines create a calm, rhythmic pattern. It is an unusual subject, and it will mean the most to people with family roots here.

Village clusters
Small villages are scattered across the countryside as tight groups of buildings. On the poster they form a repeating pattern across the page.
Field patterns
Farmland divided into regular plots surrounds the settlements. Roads and waterways cross it and give the landscape a quiet, ordered structure.

Zakaj Chentuan
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Many people who have moved from Shandong's countryside to the big cities still think of their home village and its town. A map of Chentuan gives that memory a clear, lasting form.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, including in a family name or ancestral village, and choose from five styles. Classic black and white suits the field patterns, and Noir gives the villages depth.
