Walled oval
The boulevards around the old centre follow the course of the Venetian walls, giving Crema an almost perfectly closed outline that stands out immediately on the map.

Crema Map Poster & Print
Crema's map is one of the clearest in Lombardy. The historic centre forms a compact oval, its outline still defined by the ring of boulevards that follow the former Venetian walls. Inside, narrow streets converge on the Piazza del Duomo, and outside the ring the town spreads more loosely into the flat, irrigated plain between Milan and Cremona, with the Serio river passing close by to the east.
For more than three centuries Crema belonged to the Republic of Venice, an unusual outpost far to the west of the lagoon, and that period shaped both its fortifications and its architecture. The cathedral, with its tall Lombard Gothic façade, anchors the centre. More recently the town and its countryside became familiar to film audiences as the setting of Call Me by Your Name.
A Crema map poster reads almost like a plan of a medieval city: a closed shape, a dense core and a clear boundary between old and new. Printed in fine lines, the oval ring and the web of streets inside it make a composed, balanced image that works well on its own or alongside other Italian towns.

Piazza del Duomo
At the heart of the oval, streets meet at the main square beside the cathedral, the point toward which much of the historic street pattern seems to lean.
Serio river
The river runs past the eastern edge of town, a soft line through green banks that contrasts with the regular fields and canals of the surrounding Lombard plain.

Zakaj Crema
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Crema has a way of staying with people, whether they grew up inside the ring, studied or worked here, or first saw it through a film and later came to walk its streets. Its closed, legible plan makes a map that is easy to read and pleasant to live with.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a date or a family name, and pick one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital files include six print sizes, and framed matte prints are available too.
