Zhongshan Square
A circular plaza in the centre with roads radiating in all directions, ringed by early twentieth-century buildings. It is the clearest example of Dalian's star-shaped street plan.

Dalian Map Poster & Print
Dalian occupies the southern end of the Liaodong Peninsula, with water on almost every side: the Yellow Sea to the east and south, the Bohai Sea to the west. The coastline is heavily indented, and the city's districts spread across headlands, bays and hills. From above, the sea shapes nearly every edge, and the port faces the bay on the northeastern shore.
The central street pattern was laid out around the start of the twentieth century under Russian and then Japanese control, and it is unusual for a Chinese city. Roads radiate from circular plazas, most notably Zhongshan Square, where banks and public buildings form a ring. The result is a network of diagonals and roundabouts that reads almost like a European plan.
Along the southern coast, a scenic road follows the cliffs past beaches and parks, and Xinghai Square, among the largest city squares in Asia, opens onto the sea. At the peninsula's far tip lies Lüshun, historically known as Port Arthur. A Dalian map poster brings together the radial centre, the hills and the shoreline in a single, highly graphic composition.

Southern coast
A winding coastal road runs along the southern cliffs and bays, between the sea and wooded hills. The coastline creates a sharp, irregular edge across the bottom of the map.
Xinghai Square
A very large open square on the seafront, with an oval layout and a view across the bay. On the poster it appears as a broad, pale shape set against the coastline.

Zakaj Dalian
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Dalian has a strong sense of place, defined by the sea, its squares and its hills. People who grew up or studied there often remember walking the coast road, and a map puts that coastline on the wall in clean detail.
Add a title and subtitle, a date or a district, and keep or change the coordinates line. Choose one of five styles; Blueprint suits the harbour and the radial plan, Paper gives a softer look. Download six print sizes, or order a framed poster.
