Two shorelines
Edsviken on one side and Stora Värtan on the other give Danderyd its peninsula shape, with indented coasts that frame the whole map.

Danderyd Map Poster & Print
Danderyd is a municipality just north of Stockholm, set between two bodies of water: the long, narrow Edsviken bay on the west and the wider waters of Stora Värtan on the east. From above it is a peninsula of residential streets, wooded areas and shoreline, with the E18 motorway and the Roslagsbanan railway running through.
The municipality includes Djursholm, often described as Sweden's first villa suburb, laid out in the late nineteenth century with winding roads that follow the rocky terrain. Danderyd is also known across the region for Danderyd Hospital, one of the major hospitals serving greater Stockholm.
A Danderyd map poster shows a place defined by water on both sides and curving streets in between. The coastlines are irregular and full of small bays and points, while the residential roads loop gently through the hills. In black and white, the balance of land and water makes a refined, open composition.

Djursholm villa streets
Winding roads follow the uneven granite terrain in this early garden suburb, creating soft curves that contrast with the straight motorway.
Transport spine
The E18 and the Roslagsbanan line cut north through the municipality, a pair of firm lines connecting it to central Stockholm.
