Coral rim
The island is a low ring of coral and sand. On the poster its edge becomes a single fine line, which reads clearly even at the smallest print sizes.

Enderbury Island Map Poster & Print
Enderbury Island is one of the Phoenix Islands of Kiribati, a low coral island of about five square kilometres in the central Pacific. On a map it is almost entirely outline: a narrow rim of land around a shallow interior, with no roads, no settlement and nothing but open ocean in every direction.
The island is uninhabited today. In the twentieth century it was claimed by both the United States and the United Kingdom and administered jointly with neighbouring Canton, before becoming part of Kiribati. It now lies within the Phoenix Islands Protected Area, one of the largest marine protected areas in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
An Enderbury Island map poster is an exercise in restraint. Where a city map fills the paper with streets, this one leaves most of the sheet as water, so the thin coral shape and its coordinates carry the whole composition. It suits people who like quiet images, remote places and the idea of a map that is mostly sea.

Shallow interior
Inside the rim lies a shallow, partly enclosed interior. Its lighter shape gives the island depth on paper without needing any roads or buildings to fill it.
Open Pacific
Nothing else appears for a long way around. The surrounding ocean becomes the background of the print, leaving generous empty space that makes the small island feel deliberate.

Zakaj Enderbury Island
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
People choose Enderbury for what it represents rather than for a street they once walked: distance, conservation, the scale of the Pacific. It works well for sailors, divers, birders, geographers and anyone collecting remote islands as a series.
Add a title, a subtitle and your own coordinates line, then pick one of five styles. Blueprint and Noir make the ocean feel deep, while Paper and Sand soften the coral outline into something closer to an old chart.
