River channels
Waterways wind through and around the village, splitting and rejoining as they approach the coast. In black and white they become the strongest lines on the map.

Ezhome Map Poster & Print
Ezhome lies in Kannur district in northern Kerala, close to the coast. Its landscape is flat and low, and much of what defines it from above is water: river channels, tidal creeks and wetlands that spread between patches of settlement. Roads tend to follow the higher, drier ground, so the street pattern appears as threads running between fields and waterways.
Ezhome is closely associated with Kaipad farming, a traditional way of growing rice in brackish, tidally influenced wetlands along this stretch of coast, and rice varieties bred for those conditions carry the Ezhome name. On a map, the wetlands appear as broad open areas with irregular edges, giving the image a quiet, horizontal rhythm.
Because it is a small place, the character of the map comes from its setting rather than from monuments. Houses cluster along roads and around junctions, with open fields and water filling the spaces in between. An Ezhome map poster shows that balance clearly, and it works especially well at a wider framing that takes in the surrounding rivers and wetlands.

Kaipad wetlands
Low, brackish fields where rice is grown under tidal conditions spread across the landscape, appearing as wide open shapes with soft, irregular margins.
Roads on dry ground
Streets follow the slightly higher land between water and fields, so the road network looks linear and branching rather than laid out as a grid.

Zakaj Ezhome
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
For families from Kannur district, a map of Ezhome captures the particular way land and water interlock there, something photographs rarely show. It makes a thoughtful gift for someone who moved away for work, or a quiet record of an ancestral home.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a family name, and pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
