Farmers Branch Map Poster & Print
Farmers Branch lies just northwest of Dallas, one of the older communities in the county, dating back to the settlers of the 1840s. The name comes from the creek that runs through it. Today the city is enclosed by major roads, with Interstate 635 and Interstate 35E among the corridors that cross and border it.
The map shows two distinct halves of suburban Texas. Residential neighbourhoods follow a loose grid of streets, dotted with parks and school grounds, while larger office and light industrial blocks gather near the highways. Farmers Branch Creek winds through, and its tree-lined path breaks up the regular rectangles with a soft diagonal.
A Farmers Branch map poster shows how neatly one Dallas suburb fits inside its web of freeways. The thick interchange ramps form knots at the edges, the neighbourhood streets fill the middle with an even pattern, and the creek and parks add some softness. It is a clear, graphic image of the North Texas suburban landscape.

Farmers Branch Creek
The creek that gave the city its name winds through the suburb, a soft irregular line lined with green space among the straight residential blocks.
Neighbourhood grid
Residential streets form a regular, slightly varied grid, interrupted by parks, schools and cul-de-sacs, a pattern typical of mid-century suburban Texas.
