Curving roads, crescents and cul-de-sacs form the core of the map, giving each residential subdivision its own recognisable outline and texture.

Franconia Map Poster & Print
Franconia is a census-designated place in Fairfax County, Virginia, in the suburbs south of Alexandria and east of Springfield. Its map is typical of Northern Virginia: residential subdivisions with curving streets, cul-de-sacs and loops, set among patches of woodland and small stream valleys that break up the pattern and give each neighbourhood a slightly different shape.
Major transport corridors frame the area. The Capital Beltway and Interstate 95 pass close by, including the large Springfield Interchange. Franconia–Springfield station is the southern end of the Metrorail Blue Line and also serves commuter rail. On the map, these routes appear as bold, straight or sweeping lines against the finer residential streets.
Franconia was once largely rural and grew through the twentieth century as Washington's suburbs expanded. A Franconia map poster traces that growth in the street pattern itself, from older through-roads to later neighbourhoods designed around quiet, winding lanes. It is a layered picture of the way many American suburbs took shape.

Highway corridors
Interstate 95 and the nearby Capital Beltway draw bold lines and interchange loops, framing the residential areas with large-scale engineering.
Stream valleys
Wooded stream valleys wind between neighbourhoods, leaving green gaps that interrupt the street pattern and soften the overall composition on paper.

Zakaj Franconia
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Franconia is home to many commuters, federal workers and military families passing through Northern Virginia. A map of the neighbourhood marks a real period of life, whether a first house, years of school runs or a posting that ended in a move elsewhere.
Add a title and a subtitle with your street or move-in year, and keep the coordinates line. Classic black & white and Noir suit the suburban pattern well, while Paper, Blueprint and Sand add warmth or a technical feel, as HD files or prints.
